The average American teacher makes $47,000 per year with starting salaries around $31,000. Of this money, many teachers spend THEIR OWN money on supplies for their classroom. Many districts simply don't have the funding they need.
We've all seen it - the boxes of partially used and unwanted office supplies and other materials which are simply thrown away at the end of a film or television project. Those supplies could be used by kids in classrooms where they are needed most. Pencils, dry-erase pens, paper and bigger items like mini-copiers and computers. It's all needed by them and all you need is a way to get it into the classroom.
Hollywood: ABC is your conduit.
By working with local school districts (no matter where you are in the world - not just in Los Angeles) Hollywood: ABC will work to get your dontation into a needy classroom. It's a win-win situation for your project and the children. When your show wraps - don't let those items go to waste!
Please note: Hollywood:ABC is not currently a non-profit or legal charitable organization. Donations are not tax deductible.
